To the average person who does not know much about the behavior of chimps, it would appear that were fighting over something and trying to hurt each other. However, the zoo cleared clarified saying, “The behavior shown in the film footage was what we refer to as ‘displaying’ rather than fighting. If you watch closely, there was actually very little physical contact.” At first glance, the chimps seem to be touching, however, after a closer look the zoo is proven to be correct.
