Chimpanzees are a part of the great ape family and they are commonly found in West Africa. They are thought to be the closest relatives of humans and share around 98% of of the human genetic blueprint. Chimpanzees live in social communities and they can stand up straight on two feet although they normally walk around on their knuckles. They are also one of the only animal species that is capable of using tools.
