By the time he walked through the doors of his high school in Memphis, Elvis had earned a reputation for himself. His close relationship to his mother had not gone unnoticed, and this earned him the nickname of “Momma’s Boy.” He struggled to make friends during this period of his life, and girl’s paid him little to no attention. It’s believed that this rebuttal sparked a fire inside of Elvis, and he tried to do everything he could to garner the attention of the beautiful ladies in his class.
