Amy Adams, the five-time Oscar-nominated actress, did something very similar when she flew first class in 2016. She was born on a military base and confessed to a fellow passenger that giving up her seat to a serviceman was something she had always wanted to do.
When flying from Detroit to Los Angeles, Adams flew in coach as a serviceman took her place. She said she didn’t do it for her own attention but to bring attention to the troops who serve their country.
