A soldier’s motive obviously isn’t to receive medals or badges or even first class seats. They serve their country because they feel it’s the right thing to do.
The truth is that everyone has their own specific reasons, but chances are most of them aren’t seeking out glory. And this is exactly why they’re the ones who deserve it. They’re the ones putting their necks on the line day in and day out – all for the betterment of their beloved country.
