Although she spent most of her career working in television, Thiessen did branch out to do the occasional movie, as we saw in her horror spoof from the early 2000s. Her final film came in 2008, in the science fiction Cyborg Soldier. Returning to the right side of the law, Thiessen plays a cop who is kidnapped by cyborg man created in a lab. The two have quite an adventure throughout the film and form a bit of a bond, if not a friendship, while fleeing from military agents.
The cyborg is a super human being who is designed to survive and is a trained assassin, and he has one mission: to expose the people who created him. Working together, the the pair try to bring down the operation. While Cyborg Soldier might not have been the hit she had been hoping for, Thiessen would soon find her priorities changing shortly after finishing the movie.
