Olivia Newton-John made a name for herself upon releasing her first solo album, If Not For You, in 1971. The title track reached number 25 on the U.S. pop charts, and her single, Banks of the Ohio, was in the top 10 in the U.K. and Australia.
She won several awards for her albums and kept claiming the charts as her own. She also came fourth in the 1974 Eurovision song contest and became the center of controversy when her music began leaning towards traditional Nashville country music. Of course, she was also well loved for her part of Sandy in the musical movie, Grease.

In 2015, Newton-John appeared as a guest judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race and later released a dance version of her 1980 song, Magic, which reached number one on the Billboard Dance Club Play chart. In 2017, she announced her breast cancer had returned, however.
