Keaton earned her fame in 1970 when she had her debut. In 1972, she played Kay Adams-Corleone in The Godfather, which was her most significant role, and the part which got her name out there.
Play It Again, Sam in 1972, Sleeper in 1973, Love and Death in 1975, and Annie Hall in 1977, are the main films which turned Keaton into a 70s star, with the latter earning her the Academy Award for Best Actress. Although, she isn’t a one-trick pony! She also dabbles in singing, photography, and real estate.

In 2006, Premiere magazines announced that Keaton’s role as Annie Hall in the 1977 film by the same name was number 60 on their list of 100 Greatest Performances of All Time. Diane Keaton is still performing, despite making her on-screen debut nearly 50 years ago.
In 2014 she played a widowed singer in And So It Goes, alongside Michael Douglas. She also starred in 5 Flights Up that same year, with Morgan Freeman. She voiced Dory’s mother in the 2016 Disney sequel, Finding Dory, too.
