Valerie Bertinelli played Barbara Cooper Royer on the sitcom, One Day at a Time. The show began in late 1975 when Bertinelli was just 15-years-old. She appeared in all but one of the show’s 209 episodes until its final episode in 1984.
Talk about successful! She later went on to star in multiple made-for-television movies and guest-star in other shows. However, her fame was from her part as Barbara, more than anything else. She stole hearts around the country and really proved her talent.

Bertinelli starred in all six seasons of Hot in Cleveland. She acted beside Betty White, Jane Leeves, and Wendie Malick on the show from 2010 to 2015, and is her only notable part since One Day at a Time.
She is also a spokesperson for the Jenny Craig weight-loss programs, although she considers herself to be more of a weight-loss and health activist, rather than just a spokesperson for the program. She has appeared in many of Jenny Craig’s commercials and hosted two cooking shows.
