After playing Faye Dunaway’s double in 1967’s Bonnie and Clyde, Fairchild’s career properly began on CBS from 1973 until 1977. She played the much-loved character, Jennifer Pace, on the television show, Search for Tomorrow.
In 1978, she went on to play Jenna Wade in Dallas, before acting as Constance Weldon Carlyle in Flamingo Road. The latter earned Fairchild a nomination for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Television Series Drama. In the 80s, she also played regular guest star roles and co-starred in Paper Dolls.

In 2005, Morgan Fairchild appeared in But Can They Sing? following some small theater roles. In 2006, she went on to play Sophia Blakely in Fashion House on MyNetworkTV.
Her career has slowed down since the 70s and 80s, but she is now well-known for working on the board for what was previously called the Screen Actors Guild but is now referred to as SAG-AFTRA. She has also made numerous appearances in television commercials and campaigns, including for Dental White and for a pre-planning burial choice website.
