The 1970s saw Anton gain popularity for singing a commercial jingle. She was later seen in many other commercials, providing her voice.
In 1978, Susan Anton and singer, Mel Tillis, were given a variety series, called Mel and Susan Together, hosted by ABC. The show only lasted four weeks, but she was named one of the Most Promising Faces of 1979 by TIME Magazine. She also starred in her own show, Presenting Susan Anton, as well as films including Cannonball Run II, and Goldengirl.
