The American singer, model, actress, and dancer made her debut back in 1958, as a dancer in a nightclub in Philadelphia, at just 16-years-old. It was the start of an incredible career for the young girl who went by the stage name, Lola Falana.
During the 1970s, Falana began rising to stardom, appearing on The Joey Bishop Show and The Hollywood Palace, showcasing her many talents. She made many appearances on talk shows throughout the 70s and later became known as the Queen of Las Vegas.

In 1995, Falan recorded Don’t Cry, Mary, and went on to tour the country with spiritual intentions. She no longer performs at all but uses her strong religious beliefs to try to empower and teach others.
In 1987, Falana suffered a severe bout of multiple sclerosis, which left her paralyzed down her left side, partially blind, partially deaf, and with an impaired voice. She has since thanked religion for her recovery, stating that “the presence of the Lord” has saved her and helped her to heal.
