While in college, back in 1974, Jensen began modeling. She found herself posing as the cover girl for both Vogue and Mademoiselle shortly after starting her modeling career and was introduced to Barbara Gale by a friend.
The agent, Gale, arranged two commercials for Jensen to star in, to kick off her career in the industry. She later had the chance to feature in Battlestar Galactica, in 1978, and then in ‘Deadly Blessing,’ alongside Sharon Stone, in 1981.

Her part as Martha Schmidt in ‘Deadly Blessing’ was, unfortunately, Jensen’s last role.
Not long after the release of the horror movie in 1981, Maren Jensen contracted Epstein-Barr Syndrome, an illness which is known for causing fatigue, swollen lymph nodes, swollen liver, rashes, fever, and an inflamed throat. For this reason, Jensen’s career abruptly ended, with her illness making the show business too difficult to continue in. She did, however, aid in Don Henley’s album, I Can’t Stand Still, providing harmonies, and appearing in a music video.
