After beginning her career as a go-go dancer in New York City, Adrienne Barbeau went on to star in a vast number of productions. She started on stage, predominantly appearing in musicals, but went on to feature on-screen, too.
Arguably, her most famous role was as Rizzo in Grease, which earned her a Tony Award nomination in 1972, as well as a winning her a Theater World Award. She also played Carol Traynor in Maude for six years. Is there nothing that Adrienne can’t do?

Barbeau has played an extensive number of roles in films and television series, along with making frequent appearances on talk shows and in interviews.
From 2003 until 2005, she starred in Carnivàle on HBO, and played parts in The Dog Who Saved Christmas, Dexter and Grey’s Anatomy in 2009. On top of all this, she voiced Hera in the video game, God of War III, in 2010, played a role in Argo in 2012, and in the musical, Pippin, in 2015. Her accomplishments are never-ending it seems!
