Joanna Cameron made friends with Bob Hope’s daughter, Linda Hope, in college. Bob Hope later cast Cameron in How to Commit Marriage in 1969, because he had already seen her potential, thanks to Linda Hope.
She acted in B.S. I Love You, the comedy-drama film, in 1971, and Pretty Maids All in a Row, the comedy and mystery film, also in 1971. In 1975, Cameron was given the part of Andrea Thomas, in the children’s series, Isis, named after the ancient Egyptian goddess.
