In 1970, Victoria Principal began her career in Hollywood. The very start of her life as an actress saw her cast as Marie Elena in The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean, for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Newcomer.
Warren Cowan offered to represent Principal for free, and within three months, everyone knew her name. She then went on to play a role in The Naked Ape in 1973 and appeared on the Playboy cover to promote it.

Principal quit acting to be a talent and booking agent but soon returned to performing in 1977. She played Pamela Barnes Ewing in Dallas for around 13 years on CBS and has stated that she believes it to be one of the highlights of her career.
In 2009, Principal booked a ticket for Richard Branson’s commercial space flight venture, but withdrew in 2012, despite it being one of her dreams. She now lives just outside of Los Angeles, where she rehabilitates animals.
