After the news spread that the Prince was dating fellow student Kate, the paparazzi went wild. They literally followed the couple wherever they went, and let’s face it – what can make the early stages of a new relationship more awkward than having cameras and shouting reporters in your face? While William was already used to this royal treatment, Kate was not.
Unfortunately, the media did not get sick of the couple as their relationship progressed – and it only got worse. Things escalated in January 2007 – three months prior to their breakup – when a herd of paparazzi ran after Kate outside of her apartment on the morning of her 25th birthday.
