Lamos’ emergence into the spotlight marks yet another positive step forward for people with dwarfism. Although those with the genetic disorder are just like everybody else, they’ve been subject to a lot of prejudice over the years.
Thankfully, with people like Karina providing such good publicity, this kind of inequality will start to disappear. The model follows in the footsteps of other iconic dwarves, including Warwick Davis, Peter Dinklage, and Tony Cox, all of whom have used their size to great success on the big and small screen.
