As the faithful sidekick to young Doogie Howser, Vinnie Delpino was a vital character in the show. Portrayed by Max Casella, the teenager provided Doogie with the break he needed from work so that he could do the things that were normal for someone his age. Vinnie was a very passionate filmmaker and often had a camera in hand when he wasn’t trying to impress the ladies. He eventually enrolled in film school during season two, despite initial reservations from his father about following such a career path.
