One thing that Chaz won’t be doing now he’s found someone to love is turning to substances. Although his brother’s issues with the use of illegal substances are well-known, Elijah isn’t the only child in the family who’s had these problems.
Chaz also battled substance abuse when he was younger, mainly because he needed a way to deal with his loss. When his father passed away unexpectedly, that hit the actor pretty hard. He wanted to block out the pain, so he sought whatever he could find to get him through the day.
