Since becoming an actor, Chaz has actually put some distance between him and his work as an activist. One of the reasons that Bono became so popular was because he was incredibly vocal about fighting for LGBT+ rights.
However, now that he’s had his big break, he’s more focused on establishing his career. At least for the moment, anyway. Chaz had to fight hard to land professional acting gigs, and he wants to prove he can do this. So, for now, he’s looking to give his job all his attention.
