Tyler Oakley became one of the first prominent YouTube personalities after the streaming platform opened its doors to the public. Oakley began posting his own comedic videos during his college years. In addition to his Internet persona, he participated in the 28th season of The Amazing Race and came in third place. He is also involved with a number of LGBT youth charities and was named one of Forbes Magazine’s 30 under 30. He was recently nominated for Favorite YouTube Star at the People’s Choice Awards.
