Many American states are known for being culturally diverse, and New Jersey is no different. Although nearly 70% of the residents speak English, there are also those who speak Spanish, Chinese, Indic, French, Korean, Tagalog, and even Russian.
Because of this, you can’t walk down the boardwalks of Jersey Shore without hearing an eclectic mix of words and accents. In fact, you might even hear a few words that have made their way into popular culture thanks to a very famous television show that debuted on MTV in 2009.
