Over the series’ duration, we have been given only tiny tidbits of information in regards to Jack’s little brother Nicky. All we know is that Jack was close with his brother growing up, and stepped up as a father figure due to their father’s drinking problem. We also know that the brothers served together in Vietnam, and can assume that Nicky died in the war. However, we still don’t know much about him, and why Jack rarely talks about him. It seems like even his own kids and wife don’t know much about him.
