Jodie then said Dr. Phil that their marriage began to fill the strain of the financial disagreement, or rather, Edwin’s “odd” behavior. She said the couple had fought before, but were now fighting three to four times a week, harsh fights with yelling and name calling. “We have children in the house,” Jodie said. “I don’t want them exposed to this kind of atmosphere.” She also said that Edwin’s behavior was “completely unprovoked. He just kept thinking someone was going to take his money.”
