While their first albums didn’t climb very high into the charts, when Alive! was released in 1975 the band found themselves in the top ten spot for the first time. The following year Destroyer was their first album to go platinum. It wasn’t long after their success that the members of Kiss got a taste of true music fame. By 1977 they had been named as the most popular band across America, with their popularity quickly spreading around the world.
