[post_page_title]Now: James B. Sikking[/post_page_title]
Sikking hasn’t featured in any acting roles since 2012, but following his time as Doogie Howser’s father, he was a regular face on TV. He starred in several made-for-television movies during the ‘90s, and was a recurring character in the series Brooklyn South and Invasion America towards the turn of the century. These roles came to be his best known, along with his part in Doogie Howser, M.D. and the six years he spent as Lt. Howard Hunter on 1980s police drama Hill Street Blues.
