Although she started as a housewife, Katherine later joined her son and husband in the world of medicine when she was hired as a patient advocate at Doogie’s hospital. The position subjected her son to a lot of embarrassment when she couldn’t stop mothering him, but the pair worked through their differences when Doogie moved out of the family home.
