Sgt. Aguado is a mean-spirited bully of a police detective, who takes pleasure in mocking and pushing Ace around, like asking the pet detective if he “made any good collars lately.” Luckily, Ace often gets the better of him, both verbally and – in one memorable scene – physically.
Aguado seems to follow Lt. Einhorn around like a lapdog, and often joins in as she herself makes fun of Ace. He’s also present at the final confrontation, when the pet detective proves once and for all that Einhorn is, in fact, Finkle.
