In 2007, Elijah began feeling unwell and turned to L.A. doctors for help. But when after many examinations, they weren’t sure what he was suffering from. It turned out to be Lyme disease, which he believes he got from swimming in the Indian Ganges river.
The disease was threatening his life, and he wasn’t sure whether he would make it. After undergoing many treatments, both conventional and unconventional ones – he was finally cured. That’s when he met his partner, Angie, through a blind date – and the two hit it off.
