While the Travolta name is extremely recognizable in Hollywood, you usually think of John, not Ellen his sister. Ellen Travolta starred on “Happy Days” and “Joanie Loves Chachi” as Baio’s mom. Therefore it only made sense to bring her over to “Charles in Charge” to reprise her role as Baio’s mother for a third time. She hasn’t continued to appear on television, but is a firm supporter of the Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre in Idaho. She sometimes stars in their productions.
