Charles’ sidekick in the sitcom was Buddy Lembeck. He provided the comedic relief throughout the seasons as his friend who just kind of coasts through life and college. As you watch the show, it would appear that instead of getting smarter as he makes his way through college he actually appears to regress. You would think that someone’s IQ or knowledge base would increase as they make their way closer to graduation. This did not seem to be the case for poor Buddy.
