Upon recalling what it was like when she first read the role of Kate, she said that “it felt different.” She was mesmerized by the fact that this role would tackle issues that she’d been trying to tackle for her entire life, such as inadequacy, and living in the shadows. When she was given the opportunity to audition, she couldn’t believe her luck. And when she got the callback, that she had gotten the role – she said that it was “unlike anything I’d ever experienced.”
