Although the gastrectomy was successful, Laura experienced even more complications just a few weeks later – when she started feeling incredibly ill. After a trip to the hospital, Laura discovered that she had contracted pneumonia, and struggled to battle through the illness. Luckily, she managed to overcome the condition and was restored to full health – but this battle made her more determined than ever to lose the weight once and for all, and she put all of her effort into her weight loss journey.
