While their popularity and their fame may have impressed viewers of Fixer Uppers, there are some people who aren’t too impressed with the concept or the execution of their show.
In fact, they have many TV rivals. In mid-January 2018, the popular host of Trading Spaces, Paige Davis, hinted that she was not a fan of the trends and design aesthetic of the Gaines’ family. During an interview at the Television Critics Association’s Winter Press Tour, Paige poked fun at shiplap – a design trend that was made famous by Joanna Gaines.
