Meta Golding was born in India to a Haitian mother and an American father, and was raised in several countries. Besides India, she has lived in France, Italy, and the United States; and she speaks French, Italian, English and Creole.
During her years in Italy, she was a competitive ice skater, but her lack of citizenship prevented her from making it to the national team. So when an injury ended her career on the ice, she decided to move on to acting.
