President Alma Coin is the president of District 13 and the leader of the rebellion against the Capitol. She uses her intelligence and manipulative skills to convince Katniss of becoming ‘the face’ of the revolution.
It is later revealed that Coin saw the war as a means to an end; a way to clear the path so that she, alone, could rise to power. She was willing to sacrifice anything and anyone to reach that goal, and this became her demise when Katniss realized the truth about Prim’s fate.
