As another tribute who entered into the Hunger Games with Katniss and Peeta, Wiress hailed from District 3. However, her lack of speech meant that the only person who could understand her was Beetee, from the same district.
Despite the fact that communication wasn’t there, Katniss chose Wiress to be her ally – and this was one of the best decisions she made. That’s because Wiress ultimately discovered that the arena was a clock and needed to be treated as such. Sadly, Wiress met her end in the arena.
