Diana was always enigmatic, and with plenty of secrets to hide, the manipulative business woman brought a lot of interest, and speculations, to season five. Diana is the owner of the daily paper The Spectator, in addition to being Nate’s love interest, rival, and eventually ally.
She is also involved with the Bass family, and was even suspected to be Chuck’s real mother at some point. In the end, Diana leaves the machinations of Manhattan’s elite behind her, almost revealing the identity of Gossip Girl as she goes.
