Among the people commenting on Sharon’s post were people who had worked in retail as a cashier, and people who had been employed by Walmart themselves. Some of these individuals commented how they believed the cashier had simply typed the number one, rather than the code they needed, which is why the amount of $10 appeared.
Others felt the cashier maybe thought they were putting in the quantity of another item, which is why they only entered the number one and got the code.
