Traci Lords was born Nora Kuzma in Steubenville Ohio. She had a difficult childhood growing up, with a father who had a drinking problem. After her parents divorced, she, her mother, and three sisters moved to Lawndale, California. She attended and graduated from Redondo Union High School in Redondo Beach, California. Traci was a rebellious child growing up, and would often blame her mother for their poverty. She was only 16 years old when she entered the adult entertainment industry, faking her age to participate in her first films.
