Fergie grew up in Hacienda Heights, California. She attended Mesa Robles Middle School and Glen A. High School. She was a straight-A student, spelling bee champ, and a cheerleader. As a kid, she studied dance and also began to do voiceover work as Sally for the Peanuts cartoons. She got her first acting gig in 1984 when she starred on the TV show Kids Incorporated, which led her to a music career with the band Wild Orchid, followed by The Black Eyed Peas.
