Milla grew up in Moscow until she was 5 years old when her family immigrated to London for political reasons. Shortly after, they moved to Los Angeles. Milla attended public schools in LA, where she suffered from a lot of bullying, and said she was often called a “Russian spy” by her classmates. She started working as a model when she was 12, and landed her first acting credit when she was 13 in the film Two Moon Junction. She was only 14 when she appeared in Married…with Children.
