Although the film went on to receive mixed reviews, with people either loving or hating on the teen drama, critics praised the young actor as a “well-chosen” fit and a “capable and exotically beautiful” star. There was also Pattinson and co-star Kristen Stewart’s undeniable on-screen chemistry that had everyone talking.
While people remained split about the quality of the movie and the acting, a large, Twilight-obsessed group of fans emerged otherwise known as Twi-hards, and Pattinson as well as Stewart were quick to reach some seriously intense fame.
