Now, because Dick York had to step down to tend to his chronic injury, they needed to find a replacement. The team at Bewitched settled on another Dick, Dick Sargent.
Of course, Dick Sargent was only his stage name, which he claimed to have taken from an Evening Post illustrator of the same name. His given name was Richard Stanford Cox, and he went on to play Darrin for the last three seasons of Bewitched.
