One of the messages that Melissa is keen to pass on to her daughters is you don’t necessarily need to be perfect in order to achieve success. She wants them to know that failing is a natural part of following your dreams. “They have a very good sense of self, responsibility and kindness,” she says. “That’s my job. I take it very seriously that I have to show them by doing. I fail 54 times a day but I admit when I fail. I’m the first to admit it.”
