Holly Marie Combs portrays Ella Montgomery, Aria’s mother and a teacher at Rosewood High. Ella is the kind of mother who believes in giving her children their privacy, and being their friend first and foremost. She faces quite a bit of drama on the show, when she finds out about her husband’s indiscretions and leaves home. She tries to move on and date other people, but eventually returns home and gets back together with Byron, in a wedding officiated by Aria.
