The lawsuit with Matthews was only one of Marie’s financial issues. When she first one the lottery, Marie invested $10 million into a foundation she created called the Marie Holmes Foundation. While this was a good decision there were other poor choices that Marie made regarding her money.
The father of Marie’s youngest child is Lamarr McDow and he was spending his life inside and out of prison. Marie spent a large portion of her earnings to constantly bail him out.
