Marie is facing some harsh realities as her boyfriend is facing jail time and her father is sitting behind bars as well. While Marie is grateful that she won the lottery, she is hurt that the man she loves might be in jail for many years.
She said, ”You’re not going to be here with me and the kids..I don’t want to do it without you, but I will do it.” While Marie thought that the lottery would give her a more peaceful life, this has not been the case.
