Gossip Girl, episode titled Valley Girls was actually a backdoor pilot to a spin-off about the early years of Lily van der Woodsen (formerly Rhodes), in the 1980s. Brittany Snow portrayed young Lily, who gets herself kicked out of boarding school in an attempt to live with her father, who rejects the idea.
Lily then goes looking for her sister, Carol, an aspiring actress who rebelled against their wealthy family’s lifestyle. Carol invites Lily to live with her, and so their adventures begin. Unfortunately, the pilot was never picked up.
